A PEEK INSIDE THE REAL LIFE OF EDDIE ZARATSIAN, OWNER OF TIC TOCK FLORAL COUTURE

Image
by...Michelle Nowak, Event Producer We love interviewing celebrities in our industry to see another side of their lives and today we would like to give that insight of Eddie Zaratsian, owner of Tic Tock Floral Couture. It's sort of an up close and personal (unplugged). How would you describe your home? I would describe my home as traditional and filled with pieces that I love. We have a lot of antique Victorian pieces and Italian pieces that my mother has collected over the years; beautiful paintings, light butter cream yellow walls, floral draping, Persian rugs. I have a beautiful cutting garden with vegetables, stephanotis, jasmine, hydrangeas, foxglove and succulents. There are always fresh flowers in beautiful vases in every room of our house. But what makes my house truly beautiful is my childrens laughter and my wifes smiling face. What is your favorite object in it and why? My bed! Its the moment I finally get to really relax and put my feet up after a long day at work...

By Aaron Kaniecki Working with Good Gracious! Events is never dull, someway or another GG! gets involved in some experimental, inspiring projects. Well this was defiantly one for the books. GG! volunteered to contribute to a wedding gallery which was going to be presented by WIPA (Wedding Industry Professionals Association) at The Special Event in Phoenix in January 2011. To conjure up this creation, four A type personalities came together, along with their colleagues, in order to devise a gallery so unique, so amazingly different, that it would be the talk of the show. These four personalities were Pauline Parry of Good Gracious! Events, Eddie Zartsian of Tic Tock Couture Florals, Vanessa Rockafellow of Cachet Wedding Designs, and Erin ODonnell of BBJ Linen. Of course a special mention goes out to Dan Smith and Michelle Nowak of GG! who also contributed to the project. Now where do I come in? To read the rest of the blog please click here.

This room at the Phoenix Convention Center was our, ahem, inspiration ... Just a little pressure! But our thoughts on that day of brainstorming our design and concept was a wedding brunch in a meadow ... cows, flowers, wine, cheese. All very bucolic and lovely. But of course that wasn't enough. What if we turned that on its head in some artistic, Phillip Stark sort of fashion? So the initial sketch that came from Eddie Zaratsian at Tic-Tock Couture Flowers was this ... It was bold, fun and ripe (sorry for that cheese pun) with design opportunity! From there the team k...
